With aim to find the best setting for the next race in Istanbul, bad weather conditioned the Pramac d' Antin Riders, as they could only look for the rain setting on their DUCATI GP7.
For both Barros and Hofmann this day was positive because they were able to find a good feeling, and they got some important data to setup their bikes in rain conditions.
Brazilian Alex Barros completed a total of 37 laps: "Despite bad weather, I'm happy for the results we got. It was the first time I tried the Ducati GP7 in the rain and at the beginning I had some troubles. My Team did a good job and finally I succeded in driving with confidence, and I got the right feeling with this kind of conditions that made me riding fast. Today we made some job trying two different types of Bridgestone tyres, but we focused manly on the rear. I'm very satisfied because my laptime was good and I'm confident that in case of rain, we have a solid base to start."
About Sunday's race, Alex Barros said: "This race has not really been as I expected but I did tried till the end to obtain the best possible result! The start wasn't perfect, but my first ten laps were quite good, the constant pace I had permitted me to move up four positions, from thirteenth to the ninth position. After this, I had some difficulties with the front tire and the race became harder for me; my riding style leads me to push a lot on the front tire and when its performances are lower I suffer a lot. Nevertheless, it was a good race, battling myself with Vermeulen and Nakano until the end, then when Chris and I touched, I found it difficult to recover immediately and Shinya overtook me right on the finishing line. I'm very sorry about this because I'm sure I could be on the first six positions if I would not have problems with the front tire."

German rider Alex Barros completed a total of 58 laps: "Today I hoped we could find a good weather, because after my bad Sunday we have to try a lot of things, but I could only get down on track with rain setting. Neverthless I‘m pleased with this day, because it was the first time I rode the DUCATI GP7 800cc with Bridgestone rain tires, and I got a good feeling . In this afternoon we worked a lot on mapping trying to get a more smooth engine character, and trying to achieve the best balance; then we changed different types of tires finding a satisfying one. After this test I got again the right feeling to go on, and I hope to run an exciting race in Istanbul."
About the Spanish GP race, Hofmann said: "There are no words to describe this day! I really wanted to have a good race today, I was determined and concentrated but in the end I could not make more than two laps! Immediately after the start, I realized I could not accelerate because of a technical problem, so I returned to the pit box to change my bike. I'm really unhappy because my race pace during practices was constant. Even today, I could run my last lap in 1.41,9". If I could continued my race, I think I could move up till the tenth or eleventh position. I' don't know what I can say, I want to forget this day and focus on the next race in Istanbul."
