After the appeal presented by MV Agusta to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) against the FIM's decision to disqualify Luca Scassa at the Superstock World Championship's Imola race, the Court declared MV Agusta and Luca Scassa winner of the appeal.

After Scassa's disqualification, the race win was given to original second place rider Brendan Roberts (HP Racing Suzuki) - and the championship to Alessandro Polita (Celani Team Suzuki). Scassa was accused to use a telemetric system on his MV Agusta.

Thanks to this veredict, Luca Scassa has received back the 25 points conquered at the Italian track last October 1st 2006 and declared extremely satisfied with the result of the appeal which confirms the good faith of both Factory and rider.
