A 18 race calendar will not allow so much time to recover from back-to-back races. The season will begin on march 17, in Doha, Qatar. A week later it moves to Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, which hosted last two year´s opening race. Almost one month later the MotoGP family will fly to Shanghai, April 22 and Turkey, May 6, before heading to the European tour.

The European season will start at Le Mans, May 20; Mugello, June 3; Catalunya, June 10; Donington Park, June 24; Assen, June 30 and Sachsenring, July 15. The Red Bull U.S. Grand Pris at Laguna Seca is again the week after Germany, on July 22, and the final race before the four-week summer break. Summer ends with the August 19 Czech GP at Brno and two weeks later is the new event of the 2007 season, at Misano Adriatico on the Italian coast near Rimini.
The second round of flyaways starts three weeks after Misano, but with a week added between Motegi, September 23 and Phillip Island, October 7. Sepang ends the trip on October 14 with the Malaysian Gran Prix. As is now traditional, and after the Gran Prix of Portugal, October 28, the season is due to end at Valencia, Spain, on November 4.
